DSPE PEG (2000)-DOTA Free Acid is a chelator lipid that serves as a key contrast agent in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Applications of DSPE PEG(2000)-DOTA Free Acid include cancer detection by highlighting tumors through enhanced blood supply, brain imaging to identify disrupted blood-brain barriers indicative of neurological conditions like stroke or tumors, arterial imaging to assess abnormalities such as aneurysms or plaque buildup, joint imaging for evaluating inflammation in arthritis, and liver imaging for assessing function and detecting lesions. The PEG allows for more flexibility and better stealth properties in many applications. It also has excellent chelation accessibility because of the DOTA being extended by the PEG. Adjusting the DOTA structure, linker flexibility, and complex size allows for sensitivity optimization. Avanti offers a series of DOTA lipids with different linkers and fatty acid composition for research in this area. |
