Phospholipids

Phospholipids are the main component in many lipid-based delivery systems due to their tendency to self-assemble into spherical vesicles in an aqueous solution. Avanti offers a wide variety of saturated vs unsaturated, short vs long, and natural vs synthetic phospholipids for your formulation studies.


Sterols

Cholesterol has historically been the steroid of choice to improve the rigidity and stability of lipid-based delivery systems. But that's not the only choice you have! We have a wide selection of sterols that may change physicochemical and performance outcomes for your formulation and application.


Cationic Lipids

Cationic lipids are used to encapsulate negatively charged payloads through electrostatic interactions, typical in nucleic acid delivery systems but also effective for negatively charged molecules. We offer DOTAP, the most common cationic lipid in liposomal formulations, but we have plenty of others to choose from as well.


Targeting Lipids

Ligand-mediated targeting can be used to actively target specific cells. We offer a wide range of functionalized lipids that allow you to take advantage of ligand-mediated targeting by conjugating peptides, antibodies, and more to the outer surface of your lipid-based delivery system.

Anionic Lipids
