Diphytanoyl Lipids
Avanti offers several derivatives of the lipid 16:0 diphytanoyl with various headgroup attachments to give you a choice when deciding which physical properties are important for your experiment. Diphytanoyl lipids have branched fatty acid chains that provide membranes with unique properties including high stability, low water permeability, and no gel-to-fluid phase transition at ambient temperature.
