Storage of organic solutions below -30°C is not recommended unless the solution is packaged in a sealed glass ampoule. At low temperatures, Teflon cap liners may contract causing leakage and/or exposure of the lipid to the atmosphere. As such, solution storage in the screw top containers provided by Avanti are not recommended below -30°C.
