O,O’-ditetradecanoyl-N-(α-trimethylammonioacetyl)diethanolamine chloride
DC-6-14, also referred to as O,O’-ditetradecanoyl-N-(α-trimethylammonioacetyl)diethanolamine chloride, is a cationic lipid, used in gene delivery processes. DC-6-14 demonstrates significant transfection delivery in vivo, and in vitro.
Cationic liposomes formulated with DC-6-14 have also shown anti-metastatic effects against pancreatic cancer in xenograft mouse models for peritoneal metastasis of human pancreatic cancer. Studies investigated and revealed inhibitory effects of DC-6-14 on the migration of the tumor cells.
