Cyanine 7.5 Maleimide
Cyanine 7.5 Maleimide is a cyanine dye functionalized with a maleimide group that allows it to be attached to an amine or thiol containing molecule. By adding this maleimide group, it allows this fluorescent probe to be conjugated to cysteine groups found on proteins. Cyanine probes have a similar fluorescent profile to traditional dyes such as fluorescein but have increased photostability and water solubility. Cyanine probes can be detected using a variety of fluorescence detection techniques such as microscopy and flow cytometry.
