| Cyanine 7 NHS is a cyanine dye functionalized with a N-hydroxysuccinimide (NHS) group that allows it to be attached to an amine containing molecule. By adding this NHS group, it allows this fluorescent probe to be conjugated to lysine groups found on proteins. Cyanine probes have a similar fluorescent profile to traditional dyes such as fluorescein but have increased photostability and water solubility. Cyanine probes can be detected using a variety of fluorescence detection techniques such as microscopy and flow cytometry. |
