| N-TETAMINE-pSar45-Maleimide is a lipid that is composed of a Maleimide unit conjugated to a N-TETAMINE-pSar45. Polysarcosine (pSar) lipids are offered as alternatives to traditional PEGylated lipids used in RNA delivery vehicles. Compared to similar PEGylated lipid nanoparticles (LNPs), pSar LNPs have shown improved mRNA transfection potency and improved safety profiles. The maleimide group is an invaluable functional group in targeted drug delivery due to its ability to conjugate with thiol groups on proteins. This results in the liposome or nanoparticle having drug delivery targeting abilities. |
