18:0 PE-TopFluor™ AF488 is the fluorescent-labeled form of the compound 1,2-distearyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine.
The metabolite is a phospholipid derivative that contains two stearyl groups (alkyl groups).
It has been labeled with a TopFluor tag, which installs fluorescent properties for localization and distribution visualization. As a fluorescent lipid, 1,2-distearyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine-N-( TopFluor AF488) is a great aid to study and analyze lipid dynamics in cellular membranes via fluorescence recovery.
