Sphingolipids - Deuterated

Stable-isotope labeled natural products are commonly used to elucidate structures. The success of the lipidomics field has led to an increase in interest in deuterium-labeled lipids. Deuterated sphingolipids are used in various NMR studies and have been used to determine the carbon-deuterium bond order in the N-acyl chain of sphingomyelin bilayers.
