SNAP-tag Reacting Lipids

SNAP-tag is a polypeptide with 182 residues that can be fused to proteins of interest. SNAP-tags are widely used in biochemistry to investigate the function and localization of proteins and enzymes. SNAP-tag was engineered to accept O-benzylguanine derivatives. Avanti’s SNAP-tag lipids are currently 18:1 PE-benzylguanine and 18:1 PE-PEG2000-benzylguanine making them SNAP-tag reactive. SNAP-tag molecules are used in many applications including RNA-editing, development of SNAP-based sensors for small molecules, and protein-DNA complexes.
