We are pleased to announce a 10% discount to all of our non-profit researchers based in the United States!
How it works...
We want to make it easy for academic researchers to take advantage of the discount. So, we have added the 10% discount to academic accounts that have previously been set up. When you receive an invoice you should see a line item for "trade discount" that will indicate the value of the discount that has been applied.
FAQs
- Why do I not see the discount when checking out during an online order? The online order process is not capable of automatically showing the discount yet. But please be assured that when it is time to pay for the order, the invoiced amount will reflect the discount.
- Why am I not seeing the discount on my invoice? If you are an academic or non-profit research lab and do not see the discount on your invoice please contact us at customerservice@avantilipids.com and we will apply the discount manually. Once we make the change, the discount should apply automatically for future orders. If you are not an academic or non-profit research lab, the discount will not appear on your invoice because the account is not eligible.
- Do I need to do anything to take advantage of the discount if I am a new customer? When setting up a new account, the customer service team will automatically set up the academic discount if the account is eligible. If you believe you are eligible but do not see the discount applied to your first order, please contact us at customerservice@avantilipids.com and we will apply the discount manually if eligible. Once the discount has been applied to the first order, it should automatically apply to future orders.

Research Products for all countries except the United States. Avanti Research Products are available through Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany at www.sigmaaldrich.com/avanti.
Key Benefits:
- Cost Savings: Academic and non-profit budgets are often limited, and research-grade lipids are not cheap. Discounts help lower the cost to those institutions and researchers, which in turn can help the institution to stretch their budgets and perhaps even afford a bit more of what they need, or even more experiments.
- Access for high-quality products: a lot of experiments in biochemistry, molecular biology and pharmacology rely on research-grade lipids, and the on-profit discount can provide access for high-quality lipids for the scientist.
- Boosting Collaboration: Additionally, non-profit discounts for research-grade lipids can foster collaborations between researchers and/or institutions, which can improve sharing of resources, knowledge transfer and interdisciplinary research, eventually helping advancing scientific discovery.
- Assisting Education and Training: The price-breaks also help to support efforts in academic education and training of researchers and students with an adequate base of research material as well as give students the opportunity to learn by ‘doing’. This will help to train the next generation of scientists.
- Encouraging innovation: If we reduced the cost of access to research-grade lipids by discounting them, this encourages innovation, as researchers would have access to test more hypotheses and ideas without solely being limited by financial constraints. This can pave the way for new therapies and disease understanding.
